The Women’s Empowerment Network of South Africa (WENOSA) invites academically excellent female students entering their final year of postgraduate studies in 2026 to apply for its Postgraduate Scholarship. This fully funded opportunity supports students committed to advancing gender equality and diversity in underrepresented fields.
About the Bursary Provider
WENOSA is dedicated to advancing the education and empowerment of South African women. The organisation supports skill development, advocacy, and economic participation, particularly in fields where women are historically underrepresented, such as STEM, Gender Studies, Economics, and the Sciences.
Fields Covered
The scholarship supports final‑year postgraduate studies (Honours, Master’s, Doctorate) in:
- Engineering
- Sciences
- Technology
- Economics
- Gender Studies
- Other disciplines related to women’s empowerment
Expenses Covered
Each recipient receives:
- Up to R50 000 per annum
- To be used for tuition fees and study materials
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be a South African female citizen
- Be entering final year of an Honours, Master’s, or Doctoral programme in 2026
- Achieve a minimum academic average of 65%
- Be enrolled at a public university, university of technology, or registered private college
- Preference for applicants from households with annual income ≤ R350 000

Applications are submitted online via the official WENOSA Forms Portal before the deadline. Upload the following documents:
- Certified SA ID copy
- Official academic transcripts (undergraduate and postgraduate)
- Proof of enrollment for 2026 final year
- Motivation letter (500–700 words) reflecting commitment to women’s issues
- Two academic/professional recommendation letters
- Curriculum Vitae
- Proof of household income (payslips or affidavit)
