Looking for November grant dates? The 2025 cycle on this page closed almost a year ago. The dates for November 2026 are further down, and they differ by a day from 2025.
November 2025 pay days on record
- Older persons (with war veterans and grant-in-aid): Tuesday 4 November 2025
- Disability: Wednesday 5 November 2025
- Child support, foster child and care dependency grants: Thursday 6 November 2025
These dates come from SASSA’s 2025/26 payment calendar. The SASSA website did not load when we checked it in October 2026, and we found no separate SAnews notice for November, so we have checked the dates against SASSA’s own rules rather than a fresh official copy. They fit: 1 November 2025 was a Saturday and 3 November a Monday, both days SASSA avoids, which makes Tuesday the 4th the first allowed pay day.
Notes on the November 2025 cycle
- It was the second month at the amounts raised by R10 in October 2025: R2,320 for older persons and disability (R2,340 from age 75), with the child support grant still at R560. The October 2025 record covers that change.
- People flagged for a grant review were paid on a fourth day after the main three, as SASSA had done since mid-2025.
- The SRD R370 was paid per approved applicant after the November assessment, not on these dates.
- SASSA gold cards still worked in November 2025; the final switch-over to Postbank black cards only came on 31 August 2026.

November 2026 dates
The 2026/27 schedule, approved by National Treasury in March 2026, sets November 2026 one day earlier than the year before:
- Older persons: Tuesday 3 November 2026
- Disability: Wednesday 4 November 2026
- Children’s grants: Thursday 5 November 2026
The pattern is the same one SASSA used in 2025. November 2026 begins on a Sunday and the 2nd is a Monday, which leaves Tuesday 3 November as the opening pay day. The amounts are the 2026/27 ones: R2,400 for older persons and disability, R2,420 from age 75, R580 for the child support grant and R1,300 for the foster child grant. If SASSA announces a separate day for people under review, expect it close to the cycle, as with the August 2026 notice a week ahead; we have not guessed it here.
