Games Global Bursary: Software, Data and Design Students

Not announced The funder has not yet announced its next application round. Checked 1 October 2026 against the funder’s own notice.

Games Global develops and supplies online casino games, and employs software teams in Cape Town and Durban. Games Global has run a bursary programme for South African students that combines study funding with paid holiday work at those offices. As of 1 October 2026, Games Global has not advertised a bursary round for 2027, and its careers board carries no bursary listing.

What the last Games Global call offered

The most recent call we could confirm came from Games Global’s official LinkedIn page in April 2025, for the 2025 bursary programme in Cape Town and Durban. That post gave no closing date. Games Global aimed it at high-performing South African students in:

  • Software development
  • Data science and AI, or data analysis
  • Mathematics
  • Animation or graphic design

According to that call, the bursary paid tuition and study-related expenses and added paid vac work, mentorship and industry experience, with a path to a full-time job at Games Global after graduation.

The link in that post now leads to a careers page that no longer exists, so the 2025 form is closed. Games Global has not published fresh entry requirements, and we have not listed any rules beyond what its own post said.

Watching for the next intake

Games Global advertises jobs on the Games Global careers site and posted its last bursary call on Games Global’s LinkedIn page. Check both from time to time. For questions about the bursary or graduate intake, Games Global’s post named graduateprogramme@gamesglobal.com as the contact address.

Ignore any site that claims to take Games Global applications or shows a 2027 closing date: Games Global has published neither.

Other funders for coders and designers

Software students can apply to the BBD Bursary & Beyond Programme, which also covers game design and had its form open in October 2026. The Amazon Recruitment Bursary funds final-year software students, and our IT bursaries hub lists further options.
