Amazon is a global e-commerce and cloud computing leader committed to innovation and leadership in technology. Through this bursary, its SA Development Centre invests in future Software Development Engineers from previously disadvantaged backgrounds.

  • Books, stationery, and learning materials

  • Monthly living allowance
  • Transport allowance
A paid summer internship gives students real-world Amazon development experience and a chance for full-time placement. 

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must be:

  • South African citizens
  • Enrolled in a South African university, entering final year of a 3-year degree or third year of a 4-year degree in 2026
  • Planning to complete Honours (NQF Level 8) by end-2027
  • Not at Master’s level
  • Achieved a minimum 65% academic average
  • Available for a full-time internship and potential permanent employment at Amazon post-graduation
