Fields Covered

The bursary is available to students who complete the gap year first, and then study full-time in one of the following disciplines:

Gap year placements involve work in disciplines like earthworks, road construction, pipelines, trenchless solutions, bridges, low-cost housing, and more.

  • Aiming to study civil engineering or construction management at one of these institutions in 2027: University of Cape Town, Stellenbosch University, CPUT, University of Pretoria, or Nelson Mandela University
  • Minimum matric result of 60% in Pure Mathematics (or equivalent) and Physical Science
