Fields Covered
The bursary supports undergraduate studies in these fields:
- Electrical Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Mining Engineering
- Metallurgical Engineering
Expenses Covered
The bursary provides full support for:
- Tuition fees
- Accommodation and meals
- Prescribed textbooks
- Compulsory excursion or seminar costs
- A personal allowance
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet the following:
- South African citizen or permanent resident
- Currently in Matric or completed Matric aiming to study one of the eligible fields
- Matric students: minimum symbol 6 for Mathematics & Physical Science (5 for Mining/Metallurgy)
- Current 2nd or 3rd‑year students: minimum overall average of 60%
- Not receiving any other bursary
- Preference for applicants residing in local communities where Glencore operates
