Fields Covered
The bursary covers studies in the following fields:
- Technical Engineering
- Financial Services
- Metallurgy
Expenses Covered
The bursary will cover:
- Tuition fees
- Meals and accommodation
- Prescribed textbooks
- Payment for compulsory excursions or seminars
- Personal allowance
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet the following minimum entry criteria:
- Must be a South African citizen
- Completed Grade 12 with at least a 6 symbol in Mathematics and Physical Science for Engineering applicants
- Minimum 5 symbol for Mathematics and Physical Science for technical fields
- Average of 60% and above for current 2nd or 3rd year university students
- Must submit a CV with Grade 12 results or latest academic transcript
- Preference will be given to candidates from communities near Glencore Coal operations (proof of residence required)
- Applicants supported by another company will not be considered
- Subject to assessment and interviews
