This bursary supports full-time study (undergraduate and postgraduate) in:

  • Computer Science & Computer Engineering
  • Information Technology
  • Civil, Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering
  • BCom in Accounting & Finance
  • BEd specialising in Mathematics & Science
  • Any field for students living with disabilities.

Expenses Covered

The bursary covers (capped amounts):

  • Tuition, registration, and examination fees
  • Accommodation (residence or private) and subsistence allowance
  • Stationery, textbooks
  • A personal computer

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Be South African citizens
  • Have achieved ≥65% in Mathematics and English in Matric (≥75% for Math & Science as per ZABursaries)
  • Undergraduates: ≥65% tertiary average if already studying
  • Be registered for or planning to study full-time in one of the eligible fields in 2026 at a recognized SA institution
  • Demonstrate academic merit, leadership potential, and financial need
  • Students with disabilities are prioritised and may apply in any field.

Apply via the StudyTrust portal from 1 May to 30 September 2025. Upload certified documents:

  • Head-and-shoulders photo
  • Certified South African ID copy
  • Matric certificate/results or latest tertiary transcript
  • Proof of admission or registration for 2026
  • Proof of household income (payslips, affidavits, SASSA letters)
  • Proof of disability (if applicable)
