Investec, in partnership with StudyTrust, invites academically talented and financially needy Grade 12 learners and current 1st-year tertiary students to apply for its prestigious 2026 Tertiary Bursary Programme, offering full funding for undergraduate degrees in Commerce, Engineering, IT, Science, Actuarial Science, Medicine and related fields. This programme also includes mentorship, career readiness, and bridging support.

The bursary supports full-time undergraduate degrees in:
- Actuarial Science*
- BSc/BBusSc in Computer Science, Informatics, Information Systems
- BSc Information Technology
- BCom in Commerce (Accounting, Economics, Finance, Investments)
- Engineering (various disciplines)
- Business Science
- Commercial LLB
- MBChB (Medicine)
- Science and Mathematics degrees*
*Subject to academic-year restrictions and university agreements.
Expenses Covered
The bursary provides full support, covering:
- Tuition, registration, and exam fees
- Accommodation and meals
- Textbooks, stationeries, and learning materials
- Monthly living stipend
- Laptop/computer allowance
- Academic, psychosocial support, mentorship, and career readiness programs
Investec’s Tertiary Bursary aims to prepare well-rounded, work-ready graduates.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- South African citizen
- Currently in Grade 12 or in 1st year of tertiary studies in 2025
- Matric with ≥70% in Maths and English FAL (or ≥65% English HL), and ≥60% average in all other subjects
- Tertiary students: ≥60% semester average, and ≥60% in each subject if in STEM
- Accepted or registered for a full-time qualifying degree at a public university
- Demonstrate financial need and academic potential
- Actuarial Science first-year restriction applies, except UCT Business Science students.

Applications open via StudyTrust’s online platform from 1 May to 30 September 2025. Upload certified documents:
- Head-and-shoulders photo
- SA ID copy
- Mid-year or Matric results/certificate
- First semester results (for current students)
- Proof of university acceptance or registration
- Proof of household income (payslips, affidavits, bank statements)
- Death/divorce affidavits if applicable
