University of Fort Hare 2027 Online Applications Open

The University of Fort Hare 2027 online application cycle is now open, and students who want to study at one of South Africa’s historic universities need to apply early because the system is strict and late submissions are not accepted.

Applications are handled fully online through the official UFH portal, and you must complete every step correctly before the closing date to be considered for admission.

Required Documents for UFH Application

You must prepare and upload all required documents before submitting your application.

1. Certified copy of your ID or passport.
2. Grade 11 final results or Grade 12 June results if still in school.
3. Final Matric certificate if already completed.
4. Proof of payment for the application fee.
5. Guardian consent form if you are under 18. 
6. Academic transcripts if you are transferring from another institution.

All documents must be clear, certified, and uploaded in the correct format to avoid rejection or delays.

UFH Application Dates for 2027

You must apply within the official application window to be considered for admission.

Applications for the 2027 intake opened on 1 April 2026. 

The general closing date for undergraduate programmes is 31 Ocober 2026. 

For Postgraduate applications, the closing date is 31 October 2026 for Masters & Honours and 31 March 2027 for PHD.

UFH Residence and Accommodation

If you want to stay in university residence, you must indicate this during your application process.

Residence placement is limited and is not guaranteed even if you are accepted academically.
