EasyPay Everywhere Tech Skills Bursary for Account Holders’ Families

Not announced The last round closed on 14 November 2024. EasyPay Everywhere's bursary portal still shows its 14 November 2024 deadline and lists no open application. Checked 1 October 2026 against the funder’s own notice.

EasyPay Everywhere, a consumer account brand in the Lesaka fintech group, set up the Tech Skills Bursary for the families of its own customers. EasyPay Everywhere runs the bursary through a recruitment portal on Simplify.hr. On 1 October 2026 the portal still displayed a deadline of 14 November 2024 and listed no open application, so EasyPay Everywhere had not announced a round for 2027 study.

The account-holder link comes first

This bursary is not open to every IT student. EasyPay Everywhere requires applicants to be related to, or dependent on, an active EasyPay Everywhere account holder. A parent, grandparent or guardian with an active EasyPay Everywhere account may therefore open the door for a student in the family. If nobody in your household holds an active account, the bursary does not apply to you.

Eleven tech and maths fields on EasyPay’s list

EasyPay Everywhere aimed the bursary at information systems, technology, mathematics and data science. The portal names these qualifying fields:

  • Computer science, computer engineering and cloud engineering
  • Information technology and information systems
  • Software development
  • Data science, mathematics and statistics
  • Mechatronics
  • Business analysis

First year done, with at least 65%

Matriculants cannot apply. EasyPay Everywhere asked for students who have already finished their first year at an accredited South African university or college with an average of at least 65%. The full list of conditions on the portal:

  1. Be a student at an accredited South African institution of higher learning.
  2. Study in one of the qualifying technology or STEM fields.
  3. Have completed first year with a minimum average of 65%.
  4. Be related to, or a dependant of, an active EasyPay Everywhere account holder.
  5. Apply before the deadline in the advert.

Up to R100 000 a year for registration and tuition

EasyPay Everywhere covers registration and tuition fees up to R100 000 per year. The portal mentions nothing about residence, meals, books or a laptop, so plan for those costs from another source. EasyPay Everywhere also says terms and conditions apply, but the terms were not available on the portal when we checked.

Where a new EasyPay round would appear

Check the EasyPay Everywhere Tech Skills Bursary portal from time to time. A new round should show up under “Current Vacancies” with a fresh closing date and an apply button. Until then, have your certified ID, latest academic record, proof of registration and the account holder’s details ready.

Because the last advertised EasyPay deadline is almost two years old, do not rely on this bursary alone. The Vodacom external bursary and the Amazon recruitment bursary also fund computing students, and our IT bursaries page lists more.
