The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has released the official SASSA dates for November 2025, confirming when beneficiaries can expect their monthly social grant payments.
Millions of South Africans rely on SASSA grants every month for essential financial support. These grants assist older persons, people living with disabilities, and families caring for children across the country.
Official SASSA Payment Dates for November 2025
Beneficiaries will receive their grants on the following dates:
- Older Persons Grant: Tuesday, 4 November 2025
- Disability Grant: Wednesday, 5 November 2025
- Children’s Grants: Thursday, 6 November 2025
Payments are made according to the type of grant received, and beneficiaries are reminded that funds remain available in their accounts after the payment date—there’s no need to rush to collection points.
Biometric Verification Rollout to Strengthen SASSA System
Earlier this year, SASSA introduced the Beneficiary Biometric Enrollment (BBE) initiative to improve the security and accuracy of the social grants system. The program, launched in September 2025, uses biometric data such as fingerprints to verify identities and reduce fraudulent claims.
Minister of Social Development Sisisi Tolashe and SASSA CEO Themba Matlou recently briefed Parliament on the progress of the biometric rollout, highlighting its role in safeguarding the integrity of grant payments.
“SASSA rolled out the Beneficiary Biometric Enrollment (BBE) in all local offices nationwide to strengthen integrity in the social grants system and curb fraudulent activities,” the agency said.
As November approaches, beneficiaries are advised to keep track of the SASSA payment dates for November 2025 to ensure smooth access to their funds.
