Schneider Electric is a French-headquartered energy management and industrial automation company with its South African head office and Innovation Hub in Midrand, Johannesburg. In July 2026 Schneider Electric South Africa described its talent pipeline for young engineers as a mix of bursary, internship and graduate programmes, alongside partnerships with colleges such as Sedibeng TVET College. The bursary is the entry point of that pipeline for university students.
No Schneider bursary posting live on 1 October 2026
Schneider Electric advertises its South African bursary as a posting on its global careers site rather than on a dedicated bursary page. When we searched Schneider Electric’s careers site on 1 October 2026, it listed no bursary for South Africa. The posting for the 2026 bursary programme (requisition 97231) has been removed. Another site linked to a posting for the 2027 intake (requisition 126219), but that link now returns Schneider’s “no longer available” message. If a 2027 round ran, its window has closed, and Schneider Electric did not publish a closing date we could check.
What we could not confirm
Because Schneider Electric removes its postings once they close, we could not verify the current fields of study, marks, year levels or benefits from Schneider’s own site. Treat lists of requirements published elsewhere with caution, including the details on earlier versions of this page. When Schneider Electric posts the next round, the posting itself will set the rules; read it in full before you apply.
Finding the next Schneider Electric posting
- Search careers.se.com for “bursary” and filter the country to South Africa. Searching for “South Africa” on its own returns only a handful of jobs, so a bursary posting stands out when it appears.
- Open the posting on careers.se.com itself and apply through its “Apply Now” button. Schneider Electric’s careers site carries a fraud advisory; do not pay anyone or send documents to an address that does not come from the official posting.
- Keep a CV, a certified ID copy and your latest academic record ready, since online job applications usually ask you to upload them at the start.
